About Impala Knives and Products
Impala Knives and Products is family-owned and operated right here in Brighton, MI. Since we opened our shop to the public in 2011, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. We enjoy spending time in the trophy room while our customers design their own unique knives. We know our quality is the best and stand by our 100% guarantee.
We officially started selling knives to the public in 2008, but have been creating them since 2004 for private clients, family and friends.
Growing up in a metal fabricaton business in Miami, Florida was the start for this knife maker. While tasked with deburring parts and sweeping the floor he played around with making knives in his parents shop. Dad finally said "If you are going to make knives, then I'll show you the right way to do it!". First came the metalworking badge while in the boyscouts and then every year for hunting season father and son would make a new set of knives for that season. Many years later and with a passion to work or at least participate in the outdoor and hunting industry... Impala Knives was formed. First with Stag Antler knives and then traditional field and folding knives in both Stainless Steel and Damascus. Mostly working with old files and Stainless Steel bars. Eventually working with natural materials (bone, horn, antler, etc.) to make each creation a true work of art.
Growing up the youngest of three, and the only girl in this outdoor family, has given this young artist the opportunity to join her Dad in the shop to create something unique. Currently a Senior at EMU (Easter Michigan University) majoring in Psychology, her self-taught leatherworking skills combine art with purpose in every sheath she designs. She works closely with her Dad in evaluating new prototypes by getting feedback from customers on what they would like to see more of.
